FY25 LA BOSCOC Local Competition Suspended

The Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC), acting as the Collaborative Applicant on behalf of the Louisiana Balance of State Continuum of Care (LA BOSCOC), is suspending its FY25 Local Competition that launched November 26th. The decision was made due to HUD's recission of the FY25 CoC Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) on December 8th. You can read more about HUD's recission of its most recent FY25 CoC Program NOFO at the links below:

To all prospective project applicants, both existing and new, thank you for the hard work and long hours you've likely put into preparing an application for submission through the Local Competition.  CoCs are anticipating that a modified version of the FY25 CoC Program NOFO will be released by HUD, but there is very little information available at this time regarding when that potential reissue would occur. We also anticipate that many of the new priorities in the rescinded NOFO will exist in any new NOFO, but we don't know precisely which ones. Given the rapidly shifting landscape, we encourage potential applicants to continue planning and developing partnerships that will strengthen their FY25 applications.

For Projects Eligible for Renewal in 2025: CoC Staff are eagerly seeking additional information about whether or not HUD will move forward with funding continuations (a la FY2020 renewals). RRH and PSH projects that were encouraged/required to reallocate under the recently closed FY25 Local Competition may have the opportunity to continue to operate your renewal projects as written during the FY24 funding cycle. All projects should continue to pay close attention to communications at this time as this is a fluid situation that often is punctuated by rapid development and abrupt changes.

In the meantime: CoC staff are wishing all a happy Winter holiday season.
