GUEST SPEAKER: Dr. Antiqua Hunter, Louisiana Department of Education

Dr. Antiqua Hunter is a native of Baton Rouge, LA. Education is her passion and she believes that it is the key that unlocks so many doors! Dr. Hunter degrees include: A Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction as a Reading Specialist, both from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA.  She earned her Master’s+30 in Administration/Supervision from Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA and her Doctorate degree from Howard University, Washington DC in Educational Administration & Policy.

 Dr. Hunter’s career has been filled with a variety of leadership opportunities as she improves the education system. She has served as a Teacher, Principal, School Turnaround Specialist, College Professor, and now at the State Level, the State Homeless and Parent and Family Engagement Coordinator.
