Baton Rouge Section 8: Opening Friday, July 9, 10 AM

The East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority (EBRPHA) will be opening its Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting list on Friday, July 9, 2021, from 10 AM to 2 PM CST.

Applications will be accepted online only. Applications will become available on the specified date and time at https://ebrpha.org/.

The Louisiana Housing Corporation has reached out to the LA BOSCOC’s Coordinated Entry Access Points in Baton Rouge and will be working to coordinate access to technology. The LA BOSCOC will distribute additional information as it becomes available.

The LA BOSCOC advises applicants to keep the following pieces of information in mind for this application process:

  • Section 8 applications are processed in the order they are received. That means that the closer to 10 AM you submit your application, the sooner it will be processed.

  • Make sure your mailing address is complete and correct. EBRPHA provides notice that a given applicant has been selected via postal mail. It produces those notices using each application’s mailing address, exactly as written, and does not review them for accuracy. Common mistakes include leaving the mailing address field blank, leaving it incomplete, or including a phone or email address. Please make sure to include a real, complete mailing address where the applicant can be reached.
