On January 17, HUD released the CoC Program awards for Funding Year 2024 (FY24). We are excited to announce that the LA BOSCOC was awarded $39,384,395, which is 100% of the funding request included in our CoC's FY24 Consolidated Application!
The funding awards ensure that all CoC Program funded projects in the LA BOSCOC can continue to provide their crucial services to our most vulnerable neighbors and that our CoC is able to support new projects that will bring much needed housing and services to communities throughout our 22 parish CoC.
Highlights:
$34,182,906 in funding for continuation of existing projects
$5,201,489 in funding for new projects, including:
$1,369,304 in funding to expand housing (110 beds) and increased Coordinated Entry access for survivors of domestic violence across the LA BOSCOC.
Calcasieu Region: $666,176 in new funding for Rapid Rehousing (50 beds) and Transitional Housing - Rapid Rehousing (16 beds).
Baton Rouge Region: $2,876,129 in new funding for Rapid Rehousing (147 beds) and Permanent Supportive Housing (109 beds).
Houma Region: $289,880 in new funding for Permanent Supportive Housing (24 beds).
Funds Availability:
HUD has not released information about when FY24 funding will become available to projects. All agencies that are direct recipients of HUD CoC Program funding should be on the lookout for an official notification of funding from their HUD Field Office.
